RDG (“Rio Di Gibbraello”) is a 2007 Riviera 3600 Sports Yacht. The 3600 was a new concept for Riviera, with single-level living, large windows, sliding roof hatches and glass saloon doors designed to bring the outdoors, indoors. It won Cruiser of the Year award in 2006 and Best Motoryacht under 40 feet in 2007.
Step onto a wide swim platform with a locker for water toys and safety gear, through the transom door and into the cockpit with its settee, folding dining table, wet bar with fridge, all ready for entertaining. RDG is fitted with a camper canvas that can easily be unzipped and stowed away when you don’t want the shade over the cockpit, but very useful in Singapore’s ever-changing weather.
Step up either side of the cockpit to walk around the deck and onto the open bow area with it’s large, comfortable sun loungers (need some new upholstery here), with high safety rails and additional hand rails on the coach roof.
The cockpit and saloon open up together thanks to the large glass door, and hatch that opens up vertically, making 1 large usable space throughout the boat. The saloon is bright and airy, with 2 hatches that slide open in the roof, window blinds on either side for when the sun is too hot, and of course good Air-Con thanks to the Onan generator below decks. Settee and TV to port, galley to starboard, featuring microwave, sink, fridge-freezer and induction stove.
The helm position is well laid-out with good visibility, an opening window for easy communication with crew or guests and of course access to all controls, engine monitoring systems, navigation and bow thruster.
Step down from the saloon into the accommodation level, with master cabin in the bow which sleeps 2 in a queen bed, TV, opening hatch and loads of storage. The 2nd cabin has 2 single bunks to port. Each cabin has hanging locker space. Both cabins share the same head, although the master cabin has ensuite access. The head features a full size standing shower cabinet, electric toilet and sink.
Below decks, there is good access to the engine room and generator from the cockpit, making it easy to run through the usual engine checks and light maintenance. The Volvo Penta D6 engines have 873 running hours. RDG has a professional captain who lives aboard and maintains the yacht himself.
RDG is currently berthed at One15 Marina, Singapore. Contact us for more information and to arrange a viewing.
